Mackerel Pike Kimchi Stew

Ingredients for Pike Stew:

– Ottogi Canned Mackerel Pike
– 1 cup sliced Korean radish (Daikon is also OK)
– 2 green onions
– 1 fresh red or green pepper (optional)

Sauce

– 1 1/2 water
– 3 tablespoon Maeil Jin Soy Sauce
– 2 tablespoon OTTOGI Cooking Wine(Mihyang)
– 1 teaspoon chili powder
– 1 teaspoon chopped fresh ginger or 1/2 t ginger powder
– 2 teaspoon sugar
– 1 tablespoon Maeil Hot Red Pepper Paste
OTTOGI Black Pepper Powder

1. Cut up 1 of radish.

2. Mix all the ingredients for the sauce and set it aside.

3. Drain away the liquid from the Mackerel can and add the fish to the pot.

4. Add 1/2 cup water, sauce to the pot and start cooking at medium high heat.

5. Once it starts to boil, reduce the heat to simmer. In the meantime, cut up green onions and some red pepper and add to the pot.

6. Simmer at low heat for 30-40 minutes until the sauce is reduced and looks like below.

Direction:Make Mackerel Pike Kimchi Stew or Braised Mackerel Pike with radish.
