Teriyaki Chicken
- 2 lbs (about 1 kg) chicken wings or drumettes
- 1 cup all-purpose flour
- 1 cup cornstarch
- 1 teaspoon salt
- 1/2 teaspoon black pepper
- Vegetable oil, for frying
- Ottogi Teriyaki Sauce
Instructions:
- In a large mixing bowl, combine the all-purpose flour, cornstarch, salt, and black pepper. Mix well to evenly distribute the ingredients.
- Pat the chicken wings or drumettes dry with paper towels to remove any excess moisture.
- Place the chicken pieces into the bowl with the flour mixture. Toss and coat the chicken thoroughly, ensuring each piece is fully coated with the seasoned flour.
- Heat vegetable oil in a deep fryer or large pot to a temperature of approximately 350°F (175°C).
- Carefully add the coated chicken to the hot oil, working in batches to avoid overcrowding the pot. Fry the chicken for about 8-10 minutes until it turns golden brown and becomes crispy.
- Use a slotted spoon or tongs to remove the fried chicken from the oil, allowing any excess oil to drain.
- In a separate large bowl, pour Ottogi Teriyaki Sauce.
- Add the fried chicken to the bowl with the sauce. Toss and coat the chicken thoroughly, ensuring that each piece is covered in the delicious teriyaki glaze.
- Transfer the coated chicken to a serving platter, and garnish with sesame seeds and chopped green onions for added flavor and presentation.
- Serve the mouthwatering Korean Fried Chicken immediately while it’s still hot and crispy.
