OTTOGI Original Korean Spicy Chicken Sauce 295ml
- 2 lbs (about 1 kg) chicken wings or drumettes
- 1 cup all-purpose flour
- 1 cup cornstarch
- 1 teaspoon salt
- 1/2 teaspoon black pepper
- 1/2 teaspoon garlic powder
- 1/4 teaspoon baking powder
- Vegetable oil, for frying
- Ottogi Korean Spicy Chicken Sauce
Instructions:
- In a large bowl, combine the all-purpose flour, cornstarch, salt, black pepper, garlic powder, and baking powder. Mix well.
- Pat the chicken wings or drumettes dry with paper towels.
- Place the chicken pieces in the bowl with the flour mixture and toss to coat evenly. Press the flour mixture onto the chicken to create a nice crust.
- Heat vegetable oil in a deep fryer or large pot to about 350°F (175°C).
- Carefully add the coated chicken to the hot oil in batches, making sure not to overcrowd the pot. Fry for about 8-10 minutes, or until the chicken is golden brown and cooked through.
- Remove the fried chicken from the oil and place it on a wire rack or paper towels to drain any excess oil.
- In a separate large bowl, pour Ottogi Korean Spicy Chicken Sauce.
- Once the fried chicken has drained, transfer it to the bowl with the sauce. Toss the chicken in the sauce until well coated.
- Serve the Korean Fried Chicken hot and garnish with sesame seeds and chopped green onions, if desired.
