From Korea condiments to pizza toppings, anchovies have been used in a variety of ways to provide a deeper flavour to your food. With the perfect blend of authentic, traditional ingredients, Ottogi’s Anchovie Noodle Sauce provides an easy to use concentrate, rich in omega-3. Simply mix ¼ cup of sauce to ¾ cups of water for a delicious Korean-style soup base.

Korean Noodle Soup(Janchi Guk-Su)

  • 3 cloves garlic
  • 4-inch (10 cm) piece dried kelp
  • 6 cups (1.4 L) cold water
  • 1 teaspoon Ottogi Anchovie Noolde Sauce, plus more to taste
  • 1 tablespoon soy sauce, plus more to taste
  • 12 to 16 ounces (340 to 455 g) Ottogi Wheat Noodle- Thin Round
  • 1 scallion, thinly sliced

1. Tie the garlic and kelp in a piece of cheesecloth and place in a stockpot with the water.

2. Bring to a simmer over medium heat and let cook for 15 to 20 minutes.

3. Reduce the heat to medium-low, so the broth stays hot, and remove and discard the cheesecloth. Stir in the Ottogi Anchovie Noodle Sauce, adding more as desired.

4. Meanwhile, bring a separate pot of water to a boil over high heat, then cook and drain the noodles according to the package directions.

5. Serve the noodles in bowls covered with the hot broth, garnished with the scallion.

Mix 45ml of Ottogi\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\'s Anchovy noodle Sauce and 315mL of water.
